Free Baby Bootie Pattern

I have Decided to share my Crochet Baby Bootie Pattern with everyone.
Pattern includes instructions for both the boys and girls version

I enjoy quick and easy patterns when I want instant gratification, well, in knitting and crochet nothing is instant!

Boys and Girls Crochet Booties

Level- EASY
Use up your left over yarn, all worsted yarns work great

CH- Chain
HDC- Half double crochet
DC- Double crochet
SC- Single Crochet
SP- Space
SL ST- Slip Stitch

Sizes - up to 3 months (3-6 mo, 6-9 mo)
up to 3 months- sole 3.5"
3-6 months- sole 4"
6-9 months- sole 4.5"
2 colors of Any 4 ply yarn, (I've used Red Heart)
Sz H crochet hook
Sz F crochet hook

Using H hook
Ch 26 (29,31), turn
Row 1 - HDC in 2nd ch from hook, and in each ch across, (25 HDC's, 28, 30 ), ch 2 (counts as 1st HDC of next
row and in each additional row), turn.
Row 2 - Skip 1st HDC sp from previous row and HDC in next sp, repeat across, ( 1 ch 2, 24 HDC's), ch 2, turn.
(repeat row 2 one more time for size 3-6 & 6-9 months)
Shape toe:
Row 3 - 4 - Skip 1st HDC sp from previous row, HDC in next sp and across to second to the last sp, SC in last sp. (24 HDC's, 1 sc) ch 1, turn.
Row 5 - slip stitch in each of the first 4 (5, 5) sp, ch 3, DC in next 16 ( 19,21) sp, ch 1, turn.

Change colors here for boys
Row 6- 8 - SC in each sp across, 17 SC (19, 21), ch 1, turn.
(Repeat row 8 one more time for size 6-9).
Row 9 - Repeat row 7 but DO NOT TURN at end of row.
Now working down the front of the bootie, SC 5 (5,6) times to top of DC row, then fold bootie in half and SC in top of DC row on opposite side, work 4 more SC up to top of bootie. Fasten off.

Ruffle for girls:
Using a different color, Hold bootie upside down, join yarn with a sc in first sp of DC row, *5 DC in next sp, sc in
next sp* repeat across to last shell and sl st into begining sc. Fasten off.
Sew up bottom and up front of Bootie up to ruffle row. Weave in ends.

Tie Cord:
Using F hook, sc a tight chain about 16 (18, 20) inches. With a darning needle, weave in ends. Work Cord through DC row. Tie a knot at the end of each side. Tie in bow.
Repeat for 2nd Bootie.
